  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (any brand)
  • 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 (1 lb.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. coconut (shredded)
  • 1/2 c. chopped cherries (optional)

Directions

    Mix cake according to directions on box.

    Bake in a rectangle 13 x 9-inch pan.

    After cooling cake completely, frost as follows: mix pudding with milk and beat very little.

    Beat in cream cheese, then fold in Cool Whip.

    Frost cake with this mixture, then top with drained pineapple, shredded coconut, chopped walnuts and chopped cherries.

    Refrigerate 1 hour.
