Ingredients

  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. All-Bran or Bran Flakes
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour or graham flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Simmer raisins in the hot water for 5 minutes; cool.

    Mix dry ingredients, then add the sour milk, which has been mixed with soda and molasses.

    Add the egg, nuts and cooked raisins with their water and stir until blended.

    Bake in greased loaf pans at 350° or until set.
