- 8 oz. pkg. dates, chopped
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 1/3 c. hot water
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. white flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 egg whites, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped almonds
Directions

1Put dates and raisins in a bowl with hot water; let set 5 minutes.

2Add remaining ingredients.

3Mix together and bake in a 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

4Makes 2 small loaves. Delicious.
