  • 1 (1 1/2 lb.) head cabbage or 6 c., shredded
  • 2 medium carrots, shredded (1 1/4 lb.)
  • 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/3 c. sugar or equivalent sweetener
  • 1/4 c. corn oil (12 Tbsp.)
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Directions

    In a large bowl, toss together cabbage, carrots, pepper and onion. Mix together vinegar, sugar, oil, celery seed and garlic salt. Pour over cabbage mixture. Cover; marinate in refrigerator overnight. Makes about 7 cups.
