- 1 whole chicken
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 carrot, peeled and quartered
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 whole bay leaf
Directions

1Simmer first 7 ingredients in a large stock pot with 3 quarts of water until chicken is fork-tender.

2Cool.

3Refrigerate. Remove all fat from surface of chicken stock.

4Remove bones from chicken.

5Set meat to side.

6Remove and throw away any vegetables you don't want.

7Use this stock and meat in combination with noodles, rice or vegetables for the healthiest soup possible.
