  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 750 grams Beef Mince/Ground Beef (regular, Lean Or Extra Lean)
  • 2 Small Onions
  • 1 can Chopped Tomatoes (400g Can)
  • 1 can Boiling Water (400g Can)
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 cups Wheat Bran
  • 1/2 cups Porridge Oats
  • 4 leaves Bay Leaves
  • 3 sprigs Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Marjoram
  • 2 Courgettes (zucchini)
  • 5 Medium Carrots
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper

    I make this spicy beef in a slow cooker.

    Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat.

    Then add the beef and cook until browned.

    Peel and slice the onions and add them into the pot.

    Transfer the mixture into your slow cooker crock.

    Add the chopped tomatoes and the boiling water.

    Add the tomato paste, wheat bran, porridge oats, bay leaves, thyme and marjoram.

    Grate the courgettes and add into the pot.

    Peel and grate the carrots and add them into the pot.

    Add the paprika, chili powder and cayenne pepper.

    Stir well, put the lid on and cook for 6 hours on the low setting.
