  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour sifted

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugar together thoroughly.

    Add the egg yolk and vanilla, beat well. Stir in flour.

    On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cutout hearts with a cookie cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Decorate with frosting.
