- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Cream sugar, margarine, Crisco and egg yolks until yellow. Add remaining ingredients to mixture, alternating the milk and flour.

2Beat 3 egg whites until foamy and add to mixture.

3Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until done.

4When cool, top with Heavenly Icing.
