Ingredients

  • 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter or margarine
  • 1 to 2 pkg. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 small pkg. coconut
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    While the oven is heating, melt butter or margarine in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan in the oven.

    Cover the melted butter with the graham cracker crumbs and press into a crust.

    Sprinkle the chocolate chips, coconut and walnuts over the crust.

    Pour the condensed milk over the top.

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly brown.

    Cool completely before cutting into bars.

    Refrigerate to keep the bars firm.
