  • 6 chicken breasts, boned and halved
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can undiluted cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c. Sauterne or sherry
  • 5 oz. can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 3 oz. can mushrooms
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme

Directions

    Brown chicken breasts in butter.

    Salt and pepper.

    Place in flat casserole.

    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.

    Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 30 minutes.
