- 1 large fryer, cut up
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3 small onions, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. parsley, minced
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Directions

1Rub chicken with salt and pepper.

2Heat butter in a skillet and brown chicken on all sides.

3Remove chicken to crock-pot and saute onions, garlic and parsley in the same butter for a minute or two.

4Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.

5Pour over chicken.

6Cover and cook for 4 to 5 hours on low.
