Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/2 c. butter, chilled
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cottage cheese
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, oregano and salt.

3Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.

4Blend in cheese, egg and yeast.

5Turn onto well floured surface.

6Knead about 5 minutes.

7Place in a well-buttered bowl.

8Brush top with melted butter.

9Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

10Punch down.

11Shape as desired. Place on buttered baking sheet.

12Cover and let rise again until almost doubled.

13Bake in a preheated 375° oven 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.

14Makes 14 to 24 rolls.
