- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 well beaten eggs
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. bread flour
- 1 c. raisins
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening.

2Add eggs and molasses.

3Sift dry ingredients; add to first mixture, alternating with raisins.

4(Add nuts, I don't.)

5Wrap in Handi-Wrap or wax paper.

6Chill at least 3 hours.

7(Can be left in refrigerator 2 to 3 days.)
