  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1 1/8 c. chopped hickory nuts
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
