Ingredients

  • 1 lb. grated cheese (Cheddar and Jack, mixed)
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped ripe olives
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chiles
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 10 squirts Tabasco sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 loaves sliced buffet rye
  • 2 loaves sliced buffet French

Directions

    Mix all ingredients except bread. Spread 1 teaspoon onto each slice of buffet bread.

    Broil until cheese bubbles.

    Makes approximately 150 (1 1/4 inch) slices.

    Mix can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen.
