- 2 c. whiskey (bourbon or scotch)
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 qt. heavy cream or whipping cream

1In a very large bowl or a 6-quart pot, beat egg yolks with a large whisk or a portable electric mixer at high speed until pale and creamy.

2Gradually add sugar, beating constantly, until thick and pale.

3Add 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg.
