   Cover your work surface with several layers of newspaper and top with a layer of waxed paper.

   In a bowl which has been placed over a saucepan of hot water, melt the wax.

   Stir in dye if using.

   With tongs, dip each pinecone into the wax and allow the excess to drip back into the bowl.

   Transfer the wax-coated pinecone to the waxed paper and allow to dry.

   Repeat this process 3 or 4 times.

   With a knife, cut the foam to fit the bottom two-thirds of the bucket and glue into place.

   Glue the sheet moss over the foam.

   Fill the bucket with pinecones.

    Push twigs and branches into the foam.
