  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. butternut flavoring
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 lb. pecans
  • extra 1 c. flour (for dredging)

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.

    Mix together 3 cups flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add this gradually to creamed mixture. Add flavorings.

    Dredge candied fruit and nuts with the other cup of flour.

    Add the creamed mixture to this dredged fruit.

    Mix well, then bake in a large tube pan about 3 hours at 275°.
