- 1 1/2 lbs fresh mushrooms
- 3 cups soft french breadcrumbs (regular sandwich bread will not give you the same results)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
Directions

1Clean and slice mushrooms.

2Layer about a third of mushrooms in a 2-quart baking dish; layer with a third of bread crumbs and drizzle with a third of melted butter.

3Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

4Repeat for second layer.

5Cover with remaining mushrooms.

6Sprinkle with salt and pepper and wine.

7Cover and bake in 325 degree oven for about 35 minutes.

8Mix remaining crumbs and butter and spoon over mushrooms.

9Bake, uncovered 10 minutes or until crumbs are toasted.
