- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. flour (regular)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon extract or juice
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Gradually add sugar to butter in large mixer bowl, cream at medium speed until light and fluffy.

2At same speed, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

3At low speed, add flour and lemon extract.

4Pour batter into well-greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.

5Mark off 20 squares.

6Place 1 heaping tablespoon pie filling in center of each square.

7Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

8While warm, sift confectioners sugar over cake. Cool; cut into squares.
