- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
- 1 small can Angel Flake coconut
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 5 eggs
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until smooth.

2Add egg yolks, beating constantly.

3Add flour and soda to mixture.

4Add vanilla and buttermilk. Mix coconut and nuts and fold in egg whites.

5Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes in 9-inch pans.

6Makes 3 layers.
