- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- about 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Combine flour, baking powder and salt together.

2Cut in shortening until well blended.

3Slowly add milk, using only enough to make soft dough but not sticky.

4Turn dough onto floured board. Knead a few strokes.

5Roll 3/4 inch thick.

6Cut with cutter or glass or square with knife.

7Bake at 450° for 15 minutes until done.

8Butter tops and serve.
