- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Blend flour and shortening together.

2Add buttermilk; stir well.

3Put dough mixture on a floured surface; knead 2 or 3 times. Cut biscuits with biscuit cutter or a cup.

4Place biscuits on a greased pan; put a little melted shortening on top of biscuit. Bake at 400° until golden brown.

5Remember, all ovens cook differently.
