- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 c. unbleached white flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. cold water
Directions

1Put flour, sugar and salt in processor with steel blade already in processor.

2Make one turn of processor to mix.

3Add butter; turn on and off.

4Add yeast and water; turn on and off. Add 1/3 cup cold water; quickly blend.

5Let dough rest.

6Butter bowl and pan; clean up mess.

7With machine running, add more water slowly until ball forms.

8Let ball rotate about 1 minute, then place dough in greased bowl.

9Turn and cover; let rise until double.

10Knead until elastic.

11Place in pan; let rise again. Preheat oven to 400°.

12Put bread in; reduce heat to 325°.

13Bake for 40 minutes.
