- 2 c. whole wheat flour (we grind our own flour and for crackers, leave it fairly coarse for texture)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 large egg
Directions

1Sift flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl.

2Cut in the butter until very fine.

3Add milk and egg to make a stiff dough and knead thoroughly, about 5 minutes.

4On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough until very thin and cut into squares or rounds (whatever shape and size you like) and place on a lightly buttered cookie sheet.

5Prick with a fork and bake at 400° for 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly brown.

6You will need to keep an eye on them until you determine the time in your particular oven.
