Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/3 c. warm water with a sprinkle of sugar
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. warm water

Directions

    Mix water, eggs, shortening, salt and sugar.

    Add yeast mixture.

    Add flour and mix well.

    Let rise once and punch down. Knead very little and form into rolls or loaves.

    Bake at 425° for 13 to 15 minutes.
