- 1 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 6 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Pour 1 cup boiling water over shortening in bowl, stirring until melted.

2Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water.

5Add to shortening mixture with eggs and enough flour to make soft dough. Let rise, covered, in warm place until doubled in bulk.

6Punch dough down.

7Place in refrigerator for 2 hours to 1 week.
