Ingredients
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 yeast cake
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg, well beaten
- plain flour
Directions

1In bowl, put sugar, salt and lukewarm water and mix well.

2Add yeast cake.

3Blend in shortening and egg.

4Add enough sifted, plain flour to make a soft dough.

5Store in refrigerator.

6Punch out and shape into rolls as needed.

7Let rolls rise and bake at 450° until brown.

8Dough should stay in refrigerator at least 6 hours before using.
