- 1 c. honey
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. margarine or oil
- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. sour cream
Directions

1Bring honey to a boil.

2Cool.

3Cream margarine and sugar; add egg yolks, one at a time, and beat until light and fluffy.

4Add honey.

5Combine flour with dry ingredients, then add to honey mixture alternately with sour cream.

6Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter.

7Spoon in buttered cake pan or tube pan.

8Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.

9Before end of baking, lower baking temperature to 300° to prevent burning.

10When cake tests done, remove from oven.

11Remove from pan and cool on cake rack.
