Honey Fried Trout

Ingredients

  • 2 each trout
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 each lemon
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 each eggs
  • 13 cup milk

Directions

    Mix cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper in bowl.

    Mix egg and milk in separate bowl.
  3. 3
    Rub trout with lemon and dredge in cornmeal mixture.
  4. 4
    Dip in milk mixture and then back into cornmeal mixture.

    Heat butter or margarine to almost smoking in frying pan.

    Put trout in pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.

    Put honey on top of trout, lower heat, cover and cook for 4 minutes.
