- 1/3 c. shortening
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. honey
Directions

1Heat oven to 450°.

2Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

3Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl and rounds up into a ball.

4Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.

5Knead lightly 10 times. Roll into a rectangle.

6Mix remaining ingredients; reserve a 1/4 cup.

7Spread remaining pecan mixture over rectangle.

8Roll up. Pinch edges to seal.

9Cut into 6 inches.

10Spread remaining pecan mixture over biscuit tops.

11Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
