- turnip greens or mixture of greens
- fatback or season of choice
- salt
- sugar
Directions

1Choose healthy, dark green leaves.

2Discard any bad leaves or long stems.

3Wash greens several times in tap water.

4Add 1/4 cup of salt to first washing; let them soak for 10 minutes.

5Place greens into large saucepan with fatback grease or seasoning or choice.

6Boil until color turns and shrinkage occurs.

7Add a small amount of sugar (about 1/2 teaspoon) and salt to taste.

8Cook on low heat until tender.
