Hot Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped chicken
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 3 oz. can mushroom pieces
  • 1/2 c. ripe olives, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
  • 3/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 16 slices firm white bread (Pepperidge Farm)
  • 1 can undiluted cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. milk

Directions

    Cut crusts off bread.

    Butter 8 slices of bread; place on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Mix chicken, eggs, mushroom pieces, olives, onion and mayonnaise and spread on top.

    Place last 8 slices on top of chicken mixture.

    Mix together chicken soup, sour cream and milk.

    Pour soup mixture over all.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Broil 4 to 5 minutes to brown lightly.
