Hot Fruit Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 can peach halves
  • 1 can pear halves
  • 1 can pineapple slices
  • 1 jar red apple rings
  • 1 c. sherry
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Directions

    Drain all fruit well.

    In a saucepan, mix sugar, sherry, flour and butter.

    Cook until thick as heavy cream, stirring constantly. Arrange fruit in layers in a casserole pan, placing a layer of peaches, then a layer of pears, then pineapple.

    Scatter the apple rings in each layer for color.

    In center of each pineapple slice, place a cherry.

    Pour the sauce over fruit.

    Refrigerate overnight. Before serving, take out of refrigerator 30 minutes, then bake in 350° oven for about 20 minutes.
