Hot Fruit Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 can pear halves
  • 1 can peach halves
  • 2 cans pineapple slices
  • 1 jar apple rings
  • 1 can apricot halves
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. fruit juices
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 c. cooking sherry

Directions

    Drain fruits, reserving all juices except from apples.

    (A very small amount of the apple juice may be used for color.) Arrange fruit in casserole dish.

    Combine sugar, butter, flour, sherry and juices.

    Cook until smooth and thick.

    Pour over fruit and let stand several hours in refrigerator.

    Let warm up to room temperature before baking in a 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Good with beef, pork or poultry.
