Ingredients

  • 3 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
  • 2 c. scalded milk
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar (put with 1 c. water to dissolve yeast)
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2/3 c. sugar (salt, Crisco and sugar dissolved in scalded milk)
  • 2 eggs, beaten, added to milk after it cools
  • 10 or 11 c. flour

Directions

    Mix and let rise 15 minutes in a warm place after mixing. Knead lightly on a floured board and shape into balls.

    Place in oiled pan and let rise until double in bulk, usually about an hour.

    Bake 15 minutes in 375° oven.
