Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. warm milk
  • 3 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water and add sugar.

    Beat egg, salt and honey together, add yeast and flour; mix.

    Turn out onto floured board, knead well.

    Place into well-greased bowl, let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

    Then roll dough out onto floured board; cut into rolls.

    Place on greased cookie sheet. Let rise 1 hour.

    Bake at 400° until golden brown.
