- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 yeast cake mixed with 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients, milk and yeast.

2Knead, roll out and cut like biscuits.

3Let rise 5 minutes.

4Bake at 475° (watch for your own choice of brownish coloring) about 12 to 15 minutes.

5Dough can be refrigerated and pinched off at each meal.

6Let stand (rise) 5 or 10 minutes.
