Hot Spiced Carob

Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 inch ginger, peeled and halved
- 3 -4 tablespoons carob powder
- 2 cups almond milk (or dairy, rice or soy milk)
- honey
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cardamom
- whipped cream (optional)
- cinnamon (to garnish) (optional)
Directions

1Bring 2 cups water and ginger to a low simmer in a small pot.

2Cover and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.

3Remove and discard ginger.

4Add carob powder and stir until blended completely.

5Add milk and honey and heat until hot but not boiling.

6Pour hot spiced carob into mugs and sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom.

7Add dollops of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with cinnamon if you wish.
