Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground meat
  • 3 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 tsp. red pepper
  • 5 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. cornmeal
  • 2 oz. chili powder
  • 3 tsp. cumin
  • 4 onions
  • 2 toes garlic
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • tamale papers

Directions

    Blend in blender: onions, garlic, water and tomato sauce.

    Add to ground meat with all of the ingredients except cornmeal.

    Mix well. Take about 1 tablespoon of mixture.

    Roll oblong, then roll in cornmeal.
  5. 5
    Wrap in tamale papers (wet papers first so they won't be stiff), then put all the tamales in a large pot, layers in opposite directions.
