- 2 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. green onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. white cornmeal
- vegetable oil
Directions

1Bring water to a boil with onion, salt, sugar and pepper. Remove from heat.

2Combine cornmeals and add 1/3 to water in thin stream, stirring constantly, until very thick.

3Vigorously stir in rest of cornmeal.

4Cool to room temperature.

5Form cornmeal mixture into 3-inch rounds 1/2-inch thick.
