- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. hot water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
Directions

1Sift flour and measure 2 cups.

2Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking powder; sift.

3Add shortening to 1/3 cup boiling water and stir until smooth.

4Then add to flour and stir until blended; roll in waxed paper and chill slightly before rolling into pie crust.

5(Makes two 8-inch crusts.)
