  • 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • None None pine nuts, to garnish
  • None None pita bread and fresh vegetables, to serve

Directions

    In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, cumin and lemon juice. Puree until smooth, adding water to thin if necessary. Season. Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with pine nuts.

    Serve with pita bread and vegetables.
