  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. butter, oleo or shortening
  • 3 eggs, unbeaten
  • 6 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream the sugars and shortening together.

    Add the flour, soda, salt mixture, unbeaten eggs and vanilla alternately to the creamed ingredients.

    Add nuts.

    Form into loaves.

    Shape cookies anyway you want (round, square, oblong).

    Let set in refrigerator overnight.

    Slice and bake at 325° to 350° about 12 minutes until brown.
