- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add well beaten egg.

2Add flour, soda and salt that have been sifted together.

3Add nuts and vanilla. Mix well.

4Shape into a long roll.

5Place in refrigerator and let stand until hard.

6Slice thin and bake in a 350° oven.
