  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. nuts (if desired)

Directions

    Cream sugars and butter together.

    Add eggs, beaten light. Add vanilla.

    Add soda, baking powder, flour and nut meats (if desired).

    Mix well.

    Form in roll.

    Wrap in cloth and chill in refrigerator overnight.

    Slice and bake in 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
