- 1 prepared graham cracker crust
- 1 can regular or low-fat condensed milk
- 1/3 c. fresh or reconstituted lemon juice (fresh is better)
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar or lemon juice
- 2/3 c. sugar
Directions

1Mix condensed milk, lemon juice and egg yolks.

2Beat well with mixer.

3Pour into prepared crust.

4Place in refrigerator while making the meringue.

5To make meringue, beat the separated egg whites until peaks form.

6When meringue peaks, gradually add sugar until well mixed, then add the cream of tartar or lemon juice. Pile onto top of pie.

7Place in 400° oven for 4 to 5 minutes or until top of meringue browns lightly.
