Ingredients

  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
  • 1 c. Crisco (heaping)
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 4 c. Kellogg's All-Bran

Directions

    Mix boiling water and 100% Bran and let cool.

    Cream Crisco and sugar.

    Add eggs, buttermilk and soaked Nabisco 100% Bran. Sift together flour, soda and salt.

    Add all at once with Kellogg's All-Bran.

    Fold until all ingredients are moistened. You may add raisins or nuts.

    Bake in greased muffin tins, 15 to 20 minutes at 400°.

    (You may store dough in covered dish in refrigerator for up to 7 weeks.)
