Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. or 1 cake yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. melted Crisco
  • 5 c. flour

Directions

    Mix yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water.

    Let stand 5 or 10 minutes. Add sugar, salt and 1 cup milk.

    Beat in eggs.

    Add melted Crisco. Then add flour and mix well.

    Put 2 tablespoons melted Crisco on top.

    Cover and let rise 4 to 5 hours outside of refrigerator. Mash down.

    Place in box overnight.

    Pinch off small pieces and make a roll.

    Place in muffin tin, greased.

    Rise twice in size. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
