Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 4 c. unsifted flour

Directions

    Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

    Blend by cutting up shortening.

    Dissolve yeast in cup of warm water.

    Add to eggs and mixture.
  5. 5
    Add flour and blend well.

    Cover with foil and place in refrigerator at least 4 hours before rolling.

    Roll out as needed; cut rolls with biscuit cutter, then fold in half. Let rise in pan 2 hours before baking.

    Bake at 350° until brown.
